Camp Cartoon, originally Camp Cartoon Network, is a children's area located in Yukon Territory at Six Flags Great America. The area opened in 1998, featuring characters from Cartoon Network and Hanna-Barbera. For unknown reasons, the area was renamed Camp Cartoon in the mid-2000s. While it was never addressed publicly, it is believed that a branding dispute between Six Flags and Cartoon Network over their late-night Adult Swim programming and the network's family friendly image resulted in the name change and the removal of the Cartoon Network characters.
After the 2017 season, Hanna-Barbera licensing was removed entirely from Camp Cartoon, again for unknown reasons. All of the attractions, which were specifically modeled after Hanna-Barbera, were given generic makeovers. It is assumed that either Six Flags' contract with Hanna-Barbera ran out, or there was some kind of dispute. This doesn't entirely make sense, as Hanna-Barbera is owned by Warner Bros. Animation, a subsidiary of Warner Bros., a company of which Six Flags has a long-standing relationship with.

Camp Cartoon (2007-present)
In 2007, Camp Cartoon Network was renamed Camp Cartoon, and all mentions to Cartoon Network or Cartoon Network characters were removed. While it was never addressed publicly, it is believed that a branding dispute between Six Flags and Cartoon Network over their late-night Adult Swim programming it impact on the network's family friendly image resulted in the name change and the removal of the Cartoon Network branding.
At the end of the 2017 season, Bedrock Bolder Roller was removed. For the 2018 season, all Hanna-Barbera licensing was removed from the area as the license expired. All of the Hanna-Barbera themed rides were given generic names. Scooby-Doo's Mystery Machine became Crazy Bus, Yogi's Yahoo River became Yahoo River, Rocky Road's Rescue Service became Rescue Service, and Spacely's Sprocket Rockets became Sprocket Rockets.
In the off-season before the planned 2020 season, Rescue Service was removed from the area.
