John Thomas Reilly (born c. 1968) is the president and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation since December 8, 2025, succeeding Richard Zimmerman. He is also a member of the board of directors at Six Flags.[1] Reilly was previously the group COO of Parques Reunidos and was the CEO of its Palace Entertainment subsidiary in the United States until its sale to Herschend in March 2025.[2]

Education

Reilly earned his bachelor's degree at the College of William & Mary and then attended the University of Miami, where he earned his MBA (master of business administration) degree.[3]

Career

Reilly began as the director of food service at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in March 1998 and became the VP of culinary operations at sister park SeaWorld San Diego in March 2001.[3] He became the park president of Busch Gardens Williamsburg in December 2007, and then SeaWorld San Diego in November 2010. Reilly became the chief parks operations officer of the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment chain in April 2016. He became the COO of American and Australian parks at parent company Parques Reunidos in December 2019 and was briefly the interim CEO from July 2024 to May 2025.[3]

Reilly's selection to become the next CEO of Six Flags in December 2025 was endorsed by retired Cedar Fair CEO Matt Ouimet.[4]
