Cook Sound & Picture Works, officially shortened to Sound Works, was a Houston, Texas, based audio production company founded by Dwight Cook. In the late 1980s, and early 1990s, the company was tasked with creating music for Six Flags, through their advertising agency McCann-Erickson.
In 1989, Ted Mason composed the song "Together Again" that was proposed as a new advertising song for the company.[1] According to Mason, the song featured his wife performing the vocals. The song was passed up by McCann-Erickson.
In 1990, company musician Ted Mason composed the song "AstroWorld Ultra Twister"[2] to accompany the rides announcement.
