Twister is a Huss "Top Spin" ride located in the Boardwalk section of Six Flags Great Adventure. It opened on April 2, 1999 as part of the 25 rides and attractions added for the "War on Lines" promotion for Great Adventure's 25th anniversary.^[1]

It replaced the Joust-A-Bout, which had been plagued with operational issues and had been in operation from 1982 to 1998.

Twister was the only HUSS Top Spin in the USA until the opening of Moon Chaser at Adventureland in New York, which was acquired from the European funfair circuit.

Ride experience

The ride flips riders upside down unpredictably and uncontrollably. The riders will experience hangtime, a feeling of negative Gs characterized by feeling like you're coming out of your seat.
