The Back Street was a former Hollywood-style themed area of Six Flags Magic Mountain that was in operation from 1987 to 1993.
History
The back portion of Magic Mountain originally had a carnival theme. This was changed in 1987 with the addition of Z-Force, which replaced the defunct Grand Centennial Railway station. As Z-Force's opening was being promoted with Top Gun-style television advertising, the area was re-themed to a Hollywood atmosphere and added the After Hours Dance Club.[1][2] The area was briefly renamed to Hollywood Backstreet before being replaced by the Gotham City Backlot area with the opening of Batman: The Ride on March 26, 1994.[3]
