The Underground, also known as The Underground at Six Flags, is a Los Angeles-themed land at Six Flags Magic Mountain. It opened in January 2020 alongside West Coast Racers. It replaced the former Cyclone Bay.
History
The old shops dating back to Spillikin Corners were demolished during the 2018 season, though the Cyclone Bay area still remained open. However, it was closed off completely in 2019 as construction began on West Coast Racers.
The area was soft-opened on December 21, 2019.[1] It was officially opened on the following January 9th.[2]

Preview Center
In late 2018, a small Preview Center and store was opened in the Extreme Zone shop outside the construction area to show visitors the upcoming features of West Coast Racers and The Underground.[6] It was the only shop there to remain open when construction barriers closed off access to the rest of the area in 2019.[7] The Preview Center was closed and merchandise related to West Coast Racers was moved to the Speed Shop by the time the area was officially opened in January 2020.[8][9] In late 2021, the shop was briefly re-opened as Six Gear before being converted to the short-lived Coca-Cola VIP Lounge.
