- Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom opens at Six Flags Great Adventure
- 22 guests riding Ninja at Six Flags Magic Mountain are stranded for over two hours after a tree branch spontaneously falls onto the coaster track, causing the train to crash into it. Four of the 22 guests were injured, but none serious enough to require a hospital visit.
- 2018 — July 4th Fest ends at Six Flags St. Louis, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and Six Flags Great America.

- Star Spangled Nights debuts at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags New England, Six Flags Over Texas, and California's Great America.
- Star-Spangled Nights debuts at Six Flags America, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Over Georgia, Carowinds, Dorney Park, Frontier City, Kings Dominion, Kings Island. It is also held for one night at Six Flags St. Louis and Worlds of Fun.
